Leaders who actively engage their leadership capability and dedicate conscious effort to positively engaging their teams can produce excellent results. We develop leaders’ awareness, competency and confidence to lead effectively. We focus on how they can optimise their team engagement and performance.

Our consultants are experienced leaders in their own fields and understand the practical realities of leading in complex environments. We offer modular programmes, coaching and short courses at every level in organisations and have created a network of leaders engaged in a wide range of CPD events such as round tables, webinars, podcasts and newsletter. These help our alumni refresh and extend their learning and leverage a significant network to share ideas and resolve challenges.

Teaching and learning methods

Our management development programmes benefit from a fully blended learning approach. The TCM tutors deliver high impact workshops and tutorials and the courses are supported by a wide range of additional learning and teaching methods. Delegates on our programmes are encouraged to take personal responsibility for their learning and we encourage real time, workplace based practice and reflection.

Classroom-Based Learning.

Tutorials and workshops. Generally, one per month but we can run more if required.

360 Degree Learning

This is a useful way to gather and share feedback from team members and managers. Our facilitators relay all feedback given in a supportive and constructive way.

Forum roleplay with actors

Professional actors are used to simulate a fully immersive role play. They are great fun and always receive top marks

Learning Logs

We encourage delegates to keep detailed learning logs to assist their learning

Personality Profiles

We recommend DISC, SDI (Strengths Development Inventory) and MBTI®. We are able to provide feedback through one to one or group coaching.

Action Learning Workshops

Delegates discuss issues and challenges in a workshop environment with the facilitator observation rather than leading. Feedback is then given and key learning points are discussed

eLearning

Through the TCM delegate zone, we provide access to e learning content including worksheets, videos and quizzes.

Works-Based Projects

Delegates are encouraged to apply the learning into a real life activity such as a project or a change programme.

Team-Building Events

Teams work collaboratively to solve problems or overcome challenges.

Coaching (one to one or group)

We can run coaching sessions on a one to one basis or for small groups of 2 or 3. This is particularly useful in our advanced management programmes

Skills Practice

We've left this one to last because we know its the marmite of our courses - you either love or you hate it! Skills practice is also known as role play. TCM facilitators love role play and so will delegates on one of our courses after they've done it properly with TCM

TCM LEADERSHIP COACHES

TCM leadership coaches provide expert coaching by accredited coaches, all with a background themselves in leading senior teams through change. TCM coaches take a practical approach to helping leaders identify priorities for development, define challenging goals and practical actionable steps in plans for their own development journeys. Coaching packages can be planned in blocks of 3, 6 and 10 sessions.

Coaching can incorporate evaluation tools such as 360/180 degree feedback, and personality type instruments such as MBTI, Insights or lumina. These tools used as part of a coaching programme develop leaders’ self-awareness creating a realistic perspective on strengths and potential blindspots to support personal development planning.
